Summer Flowers

Summer flowering bedding should be in full bloom keep dead heading and feed regularly also Hanging Baskets, do not rely on the rain.   Don’t forget during wet weather slugs and snails are out in force, use slug pellets we have a range of organic products.  Remember if you feed the birds and encourage them into your garden –  they are a natural predator for slugs and snails and other insects.

If you are growing Tomatoes in your Glasshouse continue to remove side shoots towards the end of the month remove the growing tip this will divert all the energy into the already formed fruits.   Remove lower leaves to allow better air movement and to let the sun ripen lower fruits.

Spring flowering bulbs arrive towards the end of August, Daffodils, Tulips, Snowdrops etc.
